Based in Perth, Australia, Chris Nixon creates illustration and design working in a variety of mediums including books, magazines, posters, clothing, public art, painting and illustration.  Inspired by contemporary music and media, surf and street culture, his work integrates type and image with an emphasis on the hand drawn form.

In addition to his commercial illustration, conceptual, and art work, Nixon has been published in several Children's books, which have gained international success and have been translated across 5 languages.  His work has been selected for exhibition at the International Children's Book Fair in Bologna, Artists for Peace in Beirut and Perth, Dromkeen Scholastic and the State Library of WA and appears regularly at literature festivals as a guest speaker.
