Chris Nixon is an illustrator/ designer living in Perth, Western Australia. After graduating from Curtin University with a degree in illustration and graphic design, he began a career as a freelance illustrator working for several clients in Perth and interstate and began illustrating children's books. His career is focused toward a career in film as a production artist and creating wonderful and imaginative worlds in children's books. His preferred medium is a combination of traditional: pencil or oil/ watercolour and digital, however he is comfortable in most mediums.
Chris' work has been published in several children’s books including Crocodile Cake, Jake’s Gigantic List and Jake’s Monster Mess. Chris has also exhibited his work at Dromkeen Scholastic, Mundaring Arts Centre and the State Library of Western Australia and has appeared at several writing festivals as a guest speaker.
